Control of the oxidative stress4

Opextan® can effectively promote skin health by controlling oxidative stress.
Applied topically in a group of volunteers asked to apply Opextan® formulation and another formulation on their face and then wait for 3 hours and 20 minutes of sunlight irradiation, Opextan® decreases significantly sebum fluorescence of the administrated area (-27.1%), a direct measurement of lipid peroxidation.

Protection for skin4

Opextan® exerts a protective effect of on sensitive skin to ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. 13 male subjects with high sensitivity to UV light are selected and administrated orally with either a dose of 160 mg/day of Opextan® or not. The subjects are then irradiated with increasing doses of UV light in the dorsal area and minimal erythemal dose (MED) is evaluated. The results show a 16.45% result of MED after the administration compared to baseline.

Supporting a healthy blood glucose level3

Olive pulp extract is also effective in maintaining blood glucose levels at a physiological level: after 12 weeks of olive extract administration on 15 subjects with glucose tolerance challenges, a significant optimization in fasting glucose levels is observed.
