Overview

OVERVIEW

We’ve set the absolute advantage

Red vine leaves of Vitis vinifera L. and its extracts are used in French herbal medicine for chronic venous insufficiency challenge1: it capitalizes on the traditional use of red vine leaves in France for leg wellness.

Recent studies proved the efficacy of red vine leaf extract in reducing oedema and in modulating microcirculation1.

Preliminary studies have already been published on the qualitative and quantitative pattern of polyphenolic compounds found in red vine leaves of different origin, with quercetin, isoquercitrin and kaempferol being the main flavonoids detected.

Red Vine Leaf into action

Aqueous extracts from red vine leaves have traditionally been used for legs wellness in France1 .

The beneficial effect on legs of Red Vine Leaf is due, no doubt, to its elevated anthocyanins content: its anthocyanins are so effective that they have been included in the 10th edition of the French Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Franc. X)2 .

Find out how Red Vine Leaf
is one step beyond

The uniqueness of Red Vine Leaf lies in the special selection of raw materials it is extracted from: only leaves of specific French vine varieties. Also, Red Vine Leaf is rigorously standardized based on Indena Quality System.

Remarkably, these anthocyanins are different from those contained in berries, where malvidin generally predominates and their profile, including the level of acylation, is specific to the plant variety2,3 .
